If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, or stuck in your own head, you’re not broken and you’re not failing. Something in your life is asking for attention, care, and support.
Maybe your thoughts won’t slow down.
Maybe you’re carrying grief or loss that changed you. Maybe parenting feels heavier than you expected or you are going through a life transition and don’t recognize yourself anymore.
If you’re here, you’re probably exhausted from trying to figure it out on your own.
Imagine waking up without that constant knot in your chest or feeling calmer in moments that usually spiral. Imagine understanding why you react the way you do and knowing what to do to feel more grounded, more confident, or more clear.
Therapy isn’t about changing or fixing you. It’s about adding in the tools and skills that work for you, as well as helping you see your life from new perspectives so things feel more manageable and lighter.

About Me
Hello! I am Susan, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the owner of A Strengthened Perspective, LLC.
My path to becoming a therapist was shaped by both professional training and personal experience. After navigating a tragic life event at a young age, I was drawn to social work as a way to support others through loss, transition, and uncertainty. Feeling safe, respected, and heard are all values that guide my work and are at the core of my practice.
I earned my Bachelor of Social Work from Western New England University and my Master of Social Work from Fordham University. I’ve worked with individuals and families in a wide range of settings, including outpatient therapy, public schools, foster care, crisis services, and nonprofit organizations. These experiences allow me to approach therapy with flexibility, empathy, and a broad understanding of the challenges people face.
In our work together, you’ll be met with compassion, patience, and guidance. I can help you reconnect with your strengths, gain new perspectives, and build skills that support real change in everyday life. You don’t need to have everything figured out. This is a space to feel supported as you grow. I use a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and a strength-based approach.Together we can explore how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors interact, learn practical tools to manage overwhelming feelings and stress, and build on what’s already working for you, not just what feels hard. The goal is to help you feel more grounded, capable, and confident as you walk through the chapters of your life. You don’t have to do this alone. When you’re ready, book a free consultation and we’ll talk about what you’re facing and how I can help.
